Maintaining the historical facade of the First United Methodist Church while constructing a state-of-the-art Ministry Center meant long dedicated hours sourcing the right materials. The church sits at the head of Texas Street overseeing downtown Shreveport, LA. Since 1913, the church has been the focal point of downtown Shreveport. In 2009, Hand Construction proudly completed the addition of the Worship and Arts and Early Childhood Ministry Centers. After matching the new additions to the existing buildings to perfection, First United Methodist Church remains the heart and soul of downtown Shreveport.
